🤔 Trivia
01One of the original seven MK1 (1992) fighters, Raiden has been the face of the franchise for over 30 years.
02His iconic conical hat and robes draw from depictions of deity figures in classic Japanese cinema.
03Raiden is the only main character who has played both the noble guardian and a corrupted threat across different MK timelines.
04In MK1 (2023) he appears as a mortal, not a god — the first time Raiden can be played without his divine powers.
💭Personality Deep Dive

Raiden is a god living between duty and torment. He has sacrificed millennia for Earthrealm, yet the paradox haunts him — the more he intervenes, the worse things become. Calm and wise, he turns extreme when confronted with failure. He loves the mortals he protects, and the inability to save them all is what truly defines him.
