⚡ Signature Abilities
⚡
Electrification
Releases electricity from his entire body. Effective for area attacks, but exceeding his output limit causes a temporary intelligence shutdown.
🤲
One-Way
Instead of discharging outward, he turns his body into a current conduit — shocking anyone who touches him.
👥 Inner Circle
🎧Classmate
Kyoka Jiro
He teases, she snaps back. But they share a love of music that creates an unexpected common ground.

💥Classmate
Katsuki Bakugo
Regularly part of Bakugo's orbit — gets trampled on, largely unfazed.

🕷️Best Friend
Hanta Sero
The most natural pairing in Class 1-A — energy goes up whenever they're together.
🤔 Did You Know?
01His name "Kaminari Denki (上鳴電気)" literally means "electricity" — one of the clearest name-quirk matches in the series.
02His post-discharge 'dunce mode' is a fan-favorite gag, but he has used it tactically to unsettle opponents.
03He plays guitar alongside Jiro in the UA Cultural Festival band — one of the moments that reveals an actual musical talent.
04He proposed hero names including 'Denkiman' and 'Lightning Bolt' himself — both got shot down.
05In later arcs he grows into precise electricity control without self-discharging — shedding his early 'one-shot self-destruct' image.
💭Personality Deep Dive
The mood-lifter of Class 1-A. Behind the laughs and airhead act is someone serious — he just rarely shows it. He handles anxiety by turning his own weakness (post-discharge dunce mode) into comedy. His real passion for music doesn't surface until midway through the series.
