❤️Love interest (relentlessly pursued)
Andy Bogard
The unrequited pursuit that spans the entire franchise — the harder Andy runs, the more relentless Mai becomes.

🤔 Trivia
01Debuted in Fatal Fury 2 (1992) — one of the first playable female fighters in SNK's fighting game history.
02Her outfit is made from fire-resistant 'Flame Ninja Silk' — the canonical reason her clothes survive her own fire ninjutsu.
03She holds the longest-running unrequited romance arc in the franchise — pursuing Andy Bogard for over thirty years of game time.
04She notably did not appear in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 — reports suggest Marvel rejected her due to her outfit, though this is unconfirmed.
05She appeared as a playable character in KoF XV (2022) — nearly every entry in thirty years of the franchise, making her its most consistently present female fighter.
